Tátorján project: increasing the dialogue between minority and majority through social voluntary work

Project idea in brief
The aim of my project is to increase the dialogue between minority and majority through participant based social voluntary work. During the project 2 groups of youngsters will take part non-formal education activities on Human and Social rights. They will articulate their local needs and problems and they will develop and implement voluntarily some local mini projects to raise awareness about the problems. Hopefully their activities will get attention from the local communities and generate a discuss about the problems.
Social rights addressed: My project addresses first of all the rights of the education, access to sport, outdoor and leisure activities and the right to Non-discrimination.
Target group: The target group is altogether 48 youngsters from a poor rural region of North-East Hungary, they are between 12-18 years old balanced by gender and about half of them have Roma origin.
Local authorities involved: I have contacted 2 mayors from two villages where the project can run. We are keeping in touch.
The current stage of the project: I have finished the project planning and I have made a final budget. The next step is finding donors to this project.
